Introduction to 1-3-5 research planning

An introductory session on strategies for developing a 1-3-5 Research Plan that will help researchers stay on track with respect to research objectives. What is a research plan? Why do you need one? Join this practical session designed to support the development of the various aspects of research goals for faculty members at all career stages. 


AI in Education Research: Expanding Possibilities for Inquiry and Impact

How can AI tools reshape the way we design, conduct, and share educational research? This session invites faculty to explore the emerging role of AI in supporting diverse aspects of the research process, from project design and data analysis to writing, dissemination, and measuring impact. Participants will gain insight into current AI capabilities, see demonstrations of tools relevant to both qualitative and quantitative research, and engage in dialogue about academic integrity, transparency, and equity in the age of AI. The session aims to spark new ideas and equip researchers with knowledge to thoughtfully integrate AI into their own projects. 


1-3-5 Research planning workshop
